ZED SDK 3.7.5 and above versions feature significantly faster and slightly more accurate Object Detection on all platforms.
ZED SDK 3.7.5 and above versions feature significantly faster and slightly more accurate Object Detection on all platforms. With a Jetson Nano, the
PERSON_HEAD_BOX model is 50% faster while more accurate, especially in the far range and other models are 8 to 20% faster while slightly improving accuracy.
See the speedup between ZED SDK 3.7.0 and 3.7.5+ for different Object Detection models using Jetson Nano and Jetson Xavier NX in the graph below.

ZED SDK 3.7.5 and above are also compatible with Jetson AGX Xavier and Jetson AGX Orin.

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS is now supported by the ZED SDK. We also added new Jetpack versions 5.0 DP and 4.6.1 support (L4T 34.1 and L4T 32.7).
The ZED SDK now supports CUDA up to 11.7. Upgrading to new versions enables a performance boost and greatly reduces AI model optimization time, especially on Windows, where the optimization time for each model could go from almost an hour by model down to a few minutes.
The Python API is now up to 30% faster thanks to a new shallow copy mode when converting sl::Mat to NumPy array that avoids duplicating the matrix.
The AI model download and optimization is a required step that can take time, so a progress bar has been added for you to focus on other things while the ZED SDK is preparing to provide its optimized performance.
This version also includes a lot of improvements and bug fixes such as better positional tracking precision, streaming input and camera settings available in DepthViewer, GPU memory allocation optimization (up to 300MB lighter), Python installation improvement on Windows, and more!
For a complete list of changes, see the release notes.
Download the latest ZED SDK now. As always, we’re excited to share our latest update with you, and even more excited to see the amazing things the ZED community will do with it.
