FAQ

Find all the information you need on how to set up a stereo rig with two ZED X One on this support page.

The main difference between ZED X One S and ZED X One GS is the form factor and lens configuration.

ZED X One S is 35% smaller and lighter than ZED X One GS, while delivering the same level of performance and reliability. It introduces a new fisheye lens for panoramic awareness, an optional IP69K wide-angle version designed for harsh environments.

When selecting a lens for your vision system, it’s important to consider the specific requirements of your application, as the field of view directly impacts performance.

  • Narrow-FOV lenses provide higher detail at close range and remain effective for long-range detection, making them ideal for precise, single-task operations.
  • Wide-FOV lenses are better suited for applications that require broader scene coverage, supporting richer data collection and improving collision avoidance.
  • Fisheye lenses offer panoramic awareness and are particularly effective for localization tasks; this option is available exclusively on the ZED X One S and ZED X One Core.

The ZED SDK can only be used with a pair of ZED X One, acting as a virtual stereo camera.

The global shutter is best for fast-moving objects (or a fast-moving camera) as well as applications that require accurate reproduction of motion.

The rolling shutter is best for low-light environments and for capturing HDR images in high resolution.
